Breakfast, Pastries & Coffee.

At first glance of the title, you
might think that I'm going to talk about how much I love cooking breakfast things & how much I love breakfast - Well, I may be the only person on Earth who doesn't enjoy breakfast that much. My typical breakfast consists of either a bagel or sourdough toast with a nice cup of hot coffee!
However, I did enjoy making Nate this great breakfast in bed!
I got the idea for making cowboy sandwiches from the Pioneer Woman!
She is so great! Nate has her cookbook, so there might be more meals from her coming our way soon!

One thing I do love however is pastries! Of all kinds! I work at a coffee shop, so I'm always the one to recommend a great pastry to go along with coffee or tea. I love baking desserts & I'm trying to learn harder ones to make! This fall & Christmas season gave me inspiration to get more into baking, so here were the results!
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread!
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars!
Pumpkin Crumble Cake!
Pumpkin Spice Bread!
Red Velvet Cupcakes - Decorated for Christmas!

Oh dear, I sure do love baking! But the thing I love most, that would be coffee. You'll be seeing lots of posts talking about coffee & you sure will be seeing loads of pictures! I'll just post this one from Coral Tree that you surely will love cause I most definitely do!
Latte art at it's finest people! It gets me every time. I know where I'll be spending a lot of time at next quarter (:

Some may call me a chef,

but I'd rather call myself a sous chef.
I'm not much of a solo cooker, it's sort of lonely, just you & the food. I did enjoy however making this meal for my boy a couple weeks ago, but I was accompanied in the kitchen by my lovely roomie Hillary.
Cooking with some even if we're not cooking the same meal is way better!
Conversations over food - my favorite!
Here's some of my favorite meals that Nate & I have made:

Chicken Parmigiana, spinach dip with pita chips & a peach/almond salad with a sweet vinaigrette

Chicken & spinach pesto lasagna with bruschetta (along with Nate's dijon mustard sauce)

Chicken Tortilla Soup! Apple chicken sausage, veggie & gruyere sandwich with a raspberry mayonnaise sauce!

Fried chicken, mash potatoes, home-made mac & cheese with a side of strawberry, almond & spinach salad!

Coconut fried shrimp, cheese tortellini with home-made alfredo sauce & asiago cheese puffs!

We're still working on being healthy, but delicious we have seem to got down. Even when it's sometimes stressful in the kitchen, I always love cooking with Nate. I know that in the beginning of cooking together, we're still going to try & get our rhythm, but in our last meal I think we hit it off! It was mostly relaxed cooking the meal and I love when he adds random spices to our sauces! He's such an "iron chef" in that regard! In the end, I love just eating our food. Fatty moment of the day right here folks! Our food has so far been delicious & I hope it continues to be that way! We love experimenting and finding new things to cook. I stick to what I know & what's familiar while Nate chooses to branch out and make our meal diverse - in the end it produces a nice combination of both of us in a great meal.

Memories over meals, I sure hope this continues (:

I'm back again,

but this time a little different.
I loved my old blog & I still read it often as sort of a "virtual scrapbook" one may say. So I wanted to create a new one seperate of that one because I feel like I've changed a lot since my old blog. Now I know most likely, a total of 0-2 people will ever read this one, but I wanted to make it similar to my old one. A blog where I talk about great memories, share cooking recipes that I love, post pictures of adorable things & somewhere to just glorify God in bible study!
SO HERE IT GOES
